The pullets are grown on the Black Isle and delivered to customers throughout the Highlands, Skye, Nairn, Moray and Aberdeenshire.
Several thousand are grown each year - this large number enables prices to be kept below that of most other suppliers
The pullets are only available each March/April and September/October.
Only one type of bird is available, the Hy-line Brown - a hybrid that has the potential to lay 320 eggs by 74 weeks of age.
While pure and cross bred birds are popular for their distinctive appearance they will not lay as well as hybrids which are bred to produce large numbers of eggs economically.
